Under the bright sun
With friends on the run
Climbing the trees of town
With tiny limbs and a frown
Little ones riding the tricycles
Taller on the bicycles
Stopping on the roadside
Rocking on the four sides
Ice-cream cones in the hands
Jumping and Prancing all over
Marching and dancing like a hover
Eating candies and lolly-pops
Playing with all sorts of props
Smiling faces, shining eyes
Wide awake till sunrise
Playing carom and cards
With family until one retards
Those days are gone
Leaving behind memories of home
Till now comes the summer
But only for those little runners.
With friends on the run
Climbing the trees of town
With tiny limbs and a frown
Little ones riding the tricycles
Taller on the bicycles
Stopping on the roadside
Rocking on the four sides
Ice-cream cones in the hands
Icy cream on the pants
Jumping and Prancing all over
Marching and dancing like a hover
Eating candies and lolly-pops
Playing with all sorts of props
Smiling faces, shining eyes
Wide awake till sunrise
Playing carom and cards
With family until one retards
Those days are gone
